Holy smokes! Its been yonks and yonks since I wrote anything here. Now let me think...........what excitement has there been in my life lately? errrrrrrrrrr..............NOWT! I have spent the summer vainly trying to grow my own veg in a vain attempt to save money. However, the marble sized tomatoes, the teeny peppers, the 4 strawberries that the rabbit has eaten, and the no show pears, grapes and the other stuff I have killed, has cost me more than I would ever have spent at Tescos! I keep telling myself that I will be overcome with a sense of pride when things start to grow and yield a bumper crop. Instead, I am overcome with a sense of bankruptcy! Aw well. God loves she who tries! (Hubs mumbles, yes you can be trying) tut.
I have not long gotten back from a weeks holiday with my 2 children and 2 step children. We stayed in a lovely big bungalow by the beach. Perfect I hear you yell! Hmmmmmm! Unfortunately the wannabe fashion diva and her autism dictated otherwise for most of the trip! First hour was spent calming her down after a screaming match that she didn't like that blanket on her bed! After that she was fine apart from regular fights with her step brother! I felt like a referee on WWF smackdown wrestling! Unfortunately the concept of 'hide and seek' was a bit lost on her on one or two occasions when whilst hiding, she wouldn't come out to go to the loo and the expression, 'do bears shit in the woods', was very apt!
My step son, the human dynamo, swallowed half the ocean and ate half the beach! My step daughter managed to maintain a look of perfection as always (she's so beautiful) and Afro boy almost drowned and had to be saved by Hubs on a body board! My step kids have gone back to their mother. Probably still have a ton of beach sand in their drawers but hey they had a good time.
I am officially exhausted and totally skint after buying school uniforms. Now eagerly awaiting afro boys GCSE results this week. Am preparing myself for either - (1) Cries of 'OMG MA I'VE FAILED THEM ALL AND WILL HAVE TO WORK IN A SOCK FACTORY' or - (2) THATS £150 YOU OWE ME FOR DOING SO WELL!!
Please think of me either way!!! All donations kindly welcome!
